About La Nena de la Bachata

"La Nena brings a feminine, sensual touch to the male dominated Bachata genre."

La Nena le da un toque muy

sensual y femenino al género de la Bachata.

Lyzbeth “La Nena De La Bachata has been a performance artist her whole life. Whether it be Modeling, Acting, or Dancing, La Nena has done it all. Nothing however compares to her ultimate talent, Singing. Lyzbeth is a bilingual singer from Meriden, Ct. At the age of seven, she started taking her first professional singing lessons, which was to serve as a compliment with piano lessons.  She graduated from the Barbizon Modeling Academy at the age of 11, catching the eye of a casting agency in New York City. Shortly after, she moved to Puerto Rico and became part of a Merengue group called “Las Bombones”. Lyzbeth was fortunate to travel with the group around the beautiful Island performing at Festivals, Fiestas Patronales, Events and TV Shows for 2 years. Her strong voice drew many comparisons with Olga Tanon and Melina Leon. A new chapter began upon separating with “Las Bombones”, as she continued perfecting her vocal sound while continuing her education. Her dedication to her craft was clearly evident, as she started auditioning for anything she could take part in. This included various talents shows and vocal competitions. One of her first and biggest accomplishments was winning the Best Song Award at the well known Festival De La Voz Y La Cancion. It was here where she was able to demonstrate her distinguished voice, by performing a song that her Mother/Manager wrote.  Her spectacular performance led to invitations to the Voces En Funcion TV show with Lubriel as well as many other prominent festivals. As her popularity grew and talent becoming more magnetized, Lyzbeth was asked to perform on the legendary Sabado Gigante program with Don Francisco, for a new talent showcase. While in High School, she represented her School and won many singing competitions, including runner up of the Talento Brilla Competition-a prestigious singing competition that included all the top singers in high schools around Puerto Rico. All the competitions and accolades didn’t take away from Lyzbeth’s focus and excellence in school. As a senior in High School, she received the Excellence Award from the Inter-American University, as well as being chosen as the Valedictorian of her graduating class. It was Inter-American University where she attended college, and continued her academic success by graduating Magna Cum-Laude with a BA in Criminal Justice/ Arts Degree. While in College, Lyzbeth continued singing, and even represented her University in events and competitions. Eventually, she was again invited to Sabado Gigante, where she auditioned with over 600 other participants in attempts to grab one of the 3 available spots to perform at the Gigantes Del Manana Segment. She was able to win a spot, and then flew to Miami to compete with 21 other hopefuls from the United States. Lyzbeth received great reviews on TV and Newspapers from both Puerto Rico as well as the United States from her performance in Florida. In 2004 Lyzbeth moved back to Connecticut where she continues following her professional singing career and dreams. After many years of dedication and perfecting her craft, she seized the opportunity to record her first album, “Eso Es ParteDe La Vida”. For the project she partnered with well-known Producer Martires De Leon, who has produced for Alex Bueno, Luis Vargas, Zacarias Fereira, and others. The album has been released independently and is available on online stores Cdbaby, Itunes, and Amazon, as well as select stores in Connecticut and Puerto Rico.  The Album contains 13 songs, of which 10 were written by Lyzbeth’s Mother in collaboration with Lyzbeth. The album was released in Puerto Rico with a debut performance on WAPA TV Show Entre Nosotras, following a release party at El Gran Oasis Restaurant and Pub in Aguada, Puerto Rico. She conducted a media tour that included various high profile radio interviews, newspapers and magazines. Lyzbeth’s popularity in Connecticut continues to grow, making her presence known by performing at various events, including the Meriden and Hartford Puerto Rican Festivals, Hispanic Heritage Festivals and more. She has been featured on Revista Imagen as well as The Record Journal Newspaper, La Voz Newspaper and Identidad Latina Newspaper numerous times. Her official music video was released on Telemundo/ Post Latino TV.  Her first single “Amor de Historia” earned her positive reviews from Spanish Radio Stations in Connecticut as well as Puerto Rico. In a time where most artists are relatively limited, Lyzbeth is a Performer in everysense of the word.  She has assembled a Professional team that includes her mother as her acting manager, a Musical Director/ Producer, Choreographer, Costume Designer, Professional Dancers and a talented group of Musicians, all ready to put on a great show. You always get your money’s worth with a La Nena performance!!
